Dear Parents and Guardians:

Greetings from the Principal's desk. This is Mr. Shore, Principal at Melrose Elementary School alongside Mrs. Cobb, Assistant Principal!

The time has arrived to start preparing for what is going to be a very productive 2026-27 school year!

• We will continue with the 3 R's and the foundation for success at Melrose: To be Ready, Responsible, and Respectful.

• A key to our overall instructional practices for students will be teaching them on Grade Level for our core subject areas with Engaging learning activities that are student-centered.

The Harrisburg School District's Dress Code for will remain the same as last year.

As the summer winds down and you prepare your students for the upcoming school year, the Principals, Teachers, and Staff at Melrose Elementary School have all been working hard for you and your children this school year. I cannot express enough the importance of ATTENDANCE for all children.

As we look forward to the return of all Melrose students on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, we want to commit to a positive school climate that is welcoming and safe for our students.
